This map shows the desert area within the Southwest region of the United States. This map allowed me to see the different landscapes of this region, along with the true diversity of this region.
This map shows the areas that are most effected and closest to the U.S. – Mexico border. This map shows which areas of the U.S. have the most economic, and cultural influence from Mexico. As the map gets further inland the color indicating the influence fades to a lighter color.
In this map I changed the color of the outlined national parks to yellow so that these areas would stick out. I did this because these parks are a very important part of the Southwestern region.
This map looks at areas of the Southwest region and their current locations versus their pre colonial locations and names. For this map I changed the symbols shapes from circles to stars and some of the colors to make them stand out more.
This map shows the different elevation zones of North America. Before I edited the the transparency of this map you couldn’t see any of the states/country lines, or the big city names.
